Sky Rocketing

Just about every follower of basketball has witnessed the growth of Stephen Curry over the past two years. At first he was just seen as a cinderella-story from a small school, never being seriously taken as a NBA player. For the past year his stock has risen and fallen but now there is no more doubting the son of former NBA sharpshooter Dell Curry. At season's beginning, he was projected to go high teens-low twenties in this month's draft. As the season went on his stock danced around late lottery-mid teens. I got the chance to see him play at the Jimmy V Classic in Madison Square Garden this season and he was nothing short of great as he brought Davidson from behind to defeat West Virginia. After the college basketball season ended, rumors started to circulate that he would be taken by the Knicks depending on what pick they would get. Now that New York knows they have the 8th pick, it's very possible that Curry will be sporting a Knicks' jersey very soon. With his recent performance at the NBA Draft combine, Curry has silenced many doubters. Now on nbadraft.net(my favorite mock draft site) they have Curry possibly going 6th to the T-Wolves. No matter where he goes, I know this guy has the chance to be a star; he can score with anyone, has unlimited range and is already a fan favorite. I would love to see him in New York. Under Dantoni's system he could be an instant 20 point scorer in the league.
