Must See
This upcoming Friday(May 1st) X-men Origins:Wolverine will be out in theaters. This is a must see for anybody. Hugh Jackman will play Wolverine as he did for the past 3 X-men movies. The movie will basically give viewers the background of Wolverine, showing how he got to be what he is. I also really wanna see this because the movie will feature the X-man, Gambit who was one of my favorites as a kid. Everybody should enjoy this one.

In The Spotlight
Since Gucci Mane was released from jail about a month ago, he's been making his name known to the rest of the world. Here are two videos with Gucci Mane: " Gucci Bandana" and "Shirt Off". These songs have been getting played in Baltimore for about a year and a half but here they are:

It's Over...
Early this morning, Boston Celtics's coach Doc Rivers was reported saying that it's very likely that superstar forward Kevin Garnett will miss the entire postseason. Garnett missed 22 of Boston's last 26 games with an injured knee. This injury alone changes the whole Eastern Conference playoffs. Boston could now lose to a young, talented and hungry team in the Chicago Bulls and this makes LeBron and the Cav's path to the finals a lot easier. It's a wonder if this injury is a lot more serious than it's being broadcasted. KG is an aging big man so any small injury could turn into a big one. Only time will tell.

My Award Picks
With the NBA regular season basically over, here are my award picks:
MVP: LeBron James( kind of a runaway because of the Cav's record)
Defensive Player of the Year: Dwight Howard( consistent shot blocker all season)
Sixth Man: Jason Terry( not really a bench player but he'll still get it)
Most Improved Player: Danny Granger/Devin Harris ( i can't decide)
Rookie of the Year: Derrick Rose ( got the Bulls back in the playoffs)
Coach of the year: Nate McMillan ( led Portland to over 50 wins, one of the youngest teams in the league)
Looking Ahead
It was reported this week that the Washington Wizards are in agreement with Flip Saunders to become their next coach. Saunders has led both the Minnesota Timberwolves and the Detroit Pistons to conference finals. This will be good for the Wizards who haven't had a distinguished coach for some time now and with the return of Gilbert Arenas next season they should be back in the playoff hunt. The Wizards also have a great chance to get a top 3 pick in this year's draft. If they could get a mobile big man such as Blake Griffin or Jordan Hill they will be a scare for any team in the entire league. I project them to be top 5 in the East next season.

Cornel West Interviews Lupe!!!
I don't know how late I am but I came across an interview last night of Cornel West and Lupe Fiasco. Unfortunately it's only audio but it's good stuff. The two talk about life, religion, of course music and what got Lupe started. It's pretty long, about an hour but you should enjoy it. Check it out:

Praise Worthy
I don't think too many know about Brian Wood but you should definitely check out his material. His clothing line is underground but is better than most mainstream lines. It's actually my favorite t-shirt line and I have a lot of his stuff. Last week he had a fashion show at my uncle's gallery on the westside of Manhattan. It was for his Spring/Summer 2009 line titled "Flash The Queen". His website is www.brianwoodonline.com. It features all of his lines and his blog....check it out. Here are some photos from the show:
Living Legend
Yesterday the greatest player of all time, Michael Jordan was inducted into the basketball Hall of Fame. Along with MJ were all stars John Stockton and David Robinson as well as Utah Jazz coach Jerry Sloan. Over his legendary career, Jordan averaged 30.1 points per game(1st all time), won 6 NBA titles, 5 MVP awards and won an olympic gold medal.

Fallen Star...
Today it was reported on ESPN that Pistons' guard Allen Iverson is done for the season with a "back injury". To me it seems that the Pistons told A.I behind closed doors to not suit up for the rest of the season. Iverson was quoted saying that he would rather retire then to come off the bench; no one wants to see that. A.I is a superstar and he should never be put on the bench. It's funny that the Pistons, who are struggling to even stay in the playoff hunt, are picking and choosing who should play. If it is true that Detroit executives asked A.I to stay away then I would be glad to see him go to another team next season. The game needs you A.I, don't retire. Some team should be glad to pick up a reliable 25 and 6 guy who could go off for 40 or 50 on any given night. The Pistons definitely lose points for this one...

Chicago Bound
Yesterday it was reported that the Chicago Bears acquired Jay Cutler from the Broncos for quarterback Kyle Orton, two first round picks and a third round pick. It's been an ongoing struggle between Cutler and the Broncos for the past month and Cutler finally got his wish to be traded. It seems to me that both teams have gotten better with this trade. The Bears of course get a franchise quarterback in Cutler who could change their offense for the better. The Broncos get a young QB in Orton and now have the 12th and 18th pick in the upcoming draft. In a way, Denver may have a better deal because they can improve with two first round picks and already have weapons on offense. Orton just has to fill in and play well and he could emerge as a star just as Cutler did. Chicago will have to completely change their offense from conservative to aggressive. Maybe with Cutler, Devin Hester can finally turn into the wide receiver that Chicago wants him to be. Only time will tell...

Rewind
Lately I've been thinking about getting a Gameboy Color again. I only want the translucent purple one though, I had it when i was younger. I also only plan to get old Pokemon games for it. I mainly want Pokemon Blue and Pokemon Silver. Those games are still good even though they're almost 10 years old. I found it all on Ebay for less than $25 all together. The only thing holding me back is the fact that the Gameboy runs on batteries and I don't wanna buy them. More than likely I'm going to get it though. Should be fun for a while.
Future Greatness
For all those who haven't heard about John Wall, here he is. A 6'3, 180 pound point guard out of North Carolina. Wall is by far the most athletic guard in his class. The crazy thing is that he came out of nowhere. Before now, many people haven't heard of him and he's currently the number 1 prospect on Scout.com and he's projected to be the number 1 overall pick in the 2010 NBA draft on nbadraft.net. It's kind of weird how he jumped on the scene. He's also believed to be the fastest player end-to-end in his class and maybe in all of college basketball. Wall was believed to have Memphis as his top school but with Calipari going to Kentucky it's no telling where he may end up. If he goes to Kentucky then they may be a contender already. It's a wonder why Wall hasn't committed to any school yet. He may pull off a big surprise school choice or follow in Brandon Jenning's footsteps and go overseas. Either way he'll be a top 5 overall pick in the 2010 draft.
